Day 3 - PM (Still Waiting)

Unfortunately, we still don't know which version of AML we're dealing with. Courtney's doctor, Dr. Jordan, said that if he received confirmation of the AML type tomorrow morning, he would come in around lunch time to start the chemotherapy. If the results don't come until later, he'll come by in the evening to start them. Waiting is so frustrating. We just want to move forward so we can progress toward the cure.

Courtney's room has been transformed from a dull drab room to a very 'loving' colorful suite thanks to help of Courtney’s family and the 'heart'felt wishes of her Primary kids that she loves being with every Sunday. I promise to post a picture tomorrow.

We can’t tell you how much your hugs, prayers, well-wishes, messages of encouragement and love means to us. I’ve recently read a few blogs and care pages of individuals that I really didn’t know and hesitated posting a message because of that. Well, now I realize that whether they’re from someone you know or not, the messages truly help lift the spirits. So, THANK YOU!! We love you ALL!!!

Hey cute pictures! I am glad your room is getting a make-over. It is such a good idea to have something interesting to look at. I went to the rec center today and Shelly, Tori and I can't remember her name right now, you know her anyway. Well they send their love and prayers, as well as offers to help. I think Angie has given them your blog info. I can't wait to see you and give you a big hug. Get some rest.

Courtney and Todd,
I was sadden at the news when I received it but immediately my heart went to the word of God. I began to pray for you and your family.Courtney and Todd "all things are possible through Jesus Christ our Lord" and I really mean it when I say it.You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Courtney, this is my favorite scripture: Isaiah 41:10, "Fear not , I am with you. Do not be over come by sudden fear (dismayed), for I am your GOD. I WILL strengthen you, I WILL help you, I WILL uphold you with my right hand of righteousness."

Courtney and Todd, please know, that I have been very fortunate to know your family (The Callanens) and feel priviledged to have finally met the two of you and your beautiful children. Please know that you are in my daily prayers and all my family are praying for you as well.

Todd & Courtney,

As you know I’m not really someone who prays, but I do occasionally chat with my friends & loved ones who are no longer with us. I’ve asked each one of them for support, especially Dad (he’s probably a little sick of me by now). And I know that they’ll do everything in their power to help you win this battle.

And please let us know how we can help. You have an army of friends and family just waiting to be called to duty. What do you need – books/movie for hospital entertainment, toys for the kids, money for miscellaneous goods, people to come and stay with the kids? You tell us what and when, and it’ll be taken care it.

Sending all of my love to you!

- Molly

May God be with you and give you courage, strength and peace -- my email is gammonsp@sbcglobal.net - please feel free to email me anytime - and let me know if there's something i can do to help - on another level - other than praying which will continue --patty (nana1945)

I'm a friend of Amy Pennington. Prayers coming your way from Virginia. Just know that I am checking on Courtney daily and am praying for her at every thought. Also, saying specific prayers for your little ones. I was hospitalized for over 2 months and was away from my babies. I was too sick to see them and I know how hard that is. I have been praying specifically for that for your family. Thanks for sharing- Julie in VA

Just wanted to send my prayers and thoughts of comfort to you and your family.....I live in Italy and have the pleasure of calling your sister Tracy a good friend. She is so loving to us all here and I can tell by just reading this site that it is a family trait. From our military family I would like to say, battle on and battle hard.
